''We Will Never Forget''

75th Anniversary of the Marine Corps League

August 4, 1937 | August 4, 2012 | Philadelphia, PA

At the first session of the 75th Congress of the United States of America, convened in Washington, DC, January 5, 1937, An Act to Incorporate the Marine Corps League was passed by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America. That Act made the Marine Corps League the only Federally Chartered Marine Corps related veterans organization in the United States. Approved by Congress, it was signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 4, 1937.
It takes great pride in crediting its founding to Major General Commandant John A. Lejeune.
The Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of ALL Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen, who proudly wear or who have worn the eagle, globe and anchor of the Corps.
